Head of department for Secondary Energy and Projects, Sector of Energy, Ministry of foreign Trade and economic relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Sanja Kapetina is the Head of the Department for Secondary Energy and Projects in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is an expert with more than 15 years of professional experience in the energy and climate sectors of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As the Head of the Department in the MoFTER’s Energy sector, she has been actively involved in developing and implementing various BiH strategic documents focusing on reforming processes of energy and climate sectors in BiH. This included proactive participation in the decarbonisation of the energy sector in BiH, the development of NECP of BiH, defining BiH 2030 targets, just transition and others. As a nominated representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, she is actively involved in several international working groups, such as coordination groups for RES and EE of the Energy Community Secretariat, IRENA, UNECE, EUSAIR, Union for the Mediterranean and others. Additionally, as an SC/ WG member, she has been active in implementing numerous IFls and bilateral donors’ projects related to developing BiH energy and climate sectors.
