Organized by the Chamber of Economy of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH and partners, the Sarajevo Energy and Climate Week SECW 2023 will be held from September 25to 29, 2023. The mentioned event was among the first to be supported by Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Stojanović.
During the conversation with the organizers of the event, the Vice President emphasized that the New FBiH Government sent to the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina a set of energy laws that focus on renewable energy sources, thus showing its readiness for decarbonization in the energy sector. It is necessary to make many other difficult decisions with the aim of completely decarbonizing the energy sector by 2050, but Sarajevo is a bright example of that. From 2022 Sarajevo participates in a new EU program with the aim of transforming the city into a smart and climate-neutral city from 2030.
“I strongly support all activities undertaken by the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, other competent institutions and levels of government, as well as the non-governmental sector regarding decarbonization, and all these and similar activities will have my support in accordance with the competences and capabilities of the position I obligate,” says the vice president FBiH Igor Stojanović.
