Deputy Secretary, International Sava River Basin Commission
Born in Trbovlje (Slovenia), Samo Grošelj holds a M.Sc. in Civil Engineering with major in hydro-technique obtained at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy in Ljubljana (Slovenia). He began his professional career in 1984 as the designer for water and wastewater systems and wastewater treatment plant. Prior to the current employment, he held the position of Project Leader at the private company and the leader of development department at the public service company in Ljubljana (Slovenia). As of July 03, 2006, he is the Deputy Secretary for Protection of Waters and Aquatic Eco-system at the International Sava River Basin Commission seated in Zagreb (Croatia). He works on development of transboundary plans and programs on river and sediment management and climate change adaptation focused on the Sava River Basin.
