As the Mayor of the Municipality Banovići, Dr. Bego Gutić is responsible for implementing established municipal policy, preparing proposals for the Council, implementing municipal regulations and general acts as well as executing tasks delegated to the Municipality by the Canton, i.e. the Federation. He is also responsible for submitting reports to the Municipal Council and to the public on the implementation of municipal policy and its activities, informing the cantonal assembly about the implementation of cantonal policy and cantonal laws and other regulations.Until he was elected and assumed the post of the municipal head of Banovići Municipality, he was an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton, where he held a number of responsible positions, one of which was the position of Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Turkey in the period 2011-2012. He served as Prime Minister of the Government of Tuzla Canton in the period 2015-2018. In the period from May to November 2018, he was an adviser to the Bosniak member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the recipient of the Silver Police Badge of the MUP TK. During the period of aggression against our country, he was in the ranks of the RBiH Army.He has a degree in geology and a degree in law. He is a Doctor of Legal Sciences, having passed the judicial and bar exams.
