Martin Pospíšil

Director of European Countries Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic

    Mr. Pospíšil has graduated in Law from the Charles University and started his professional career at the MIT in 1994, originally dealing with the WTO and other trade policy aspects. Building on this experience and knowledge of international law, he later moved to the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the United Nations in Geneva where he subsequently served in couple of roles including the Head of the WTO Division. He was then appointed the Director of the Foreign Economic Policy Department of the MIT. In his current role, he manages two teams of territorial experts supporting predominantly bilateral economic relations of the Czech Republic with the respective countries. The focus of the team on the region of Western Balkans is significant and Mr. Pospíšil´s leadership and expertise in this area have been an asset for a successful completion and implementation of numerous projects and initiatives related to this territory.Mr. Pospíšil has graduated in Law from the Charles University and started his professional career at the MIT in 1994, originally dealing with the WTO and other trade policy aspects.
