Leading expert associate at the Public Power Utility Elektroprivreda of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo

Dr. Elvisa Bećirović is a leading expert associate at the Public Power Utility Elektroprivreda of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo. She holds a PhD from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb, an MSc from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Tuzla, and an engineering degree from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Sarajevo, highlighting her academic foundation. With over 19 years of experience in the electricity utility sector, Dr. Bećirović has been involved in various projects related to power systems and electricity utilities. Her areas of expertise include power system analysis, integration of distributed renewable energy sources (RES), and power system digitalization. In addition to her professional work, she is actively engaged in academic research and teaching, having authored or co-authored over 45 research papers and technical reports. She is a committed member of CIGRE and currently serves as the vice-president of B&H CIRED. She has been a member of IEEE PES since 2005 and represents Region 8 (Central and Northern Europe) as a Zonal Representative for the IEEE Power and Energy Society.
